*Free and Reduced Price Meals

Students must have an approved 20-21 Application for Education Benefits on file to receive free or reduced meal benefits. A new application must be completed each school year by Oct. 1, for continuation of meal benefits from one year to the next. 

Meal benefits are available to students whose families meet certain requirements such as: Families might have either one or more children who receive MFIP, SNAP, or FDPIR benefits; and/or have a foster child or have a household income within certain guidelines. Free or reduced price meal benefit information is private data and is kept confidential. Free and reduced price meal applications and forms are available to download or apply ONLINE through our Infinite Campus Parent.

**A reimbursable meal contains at least three of the five meal components offered, one of the items must be at least 1/2 cup of a fruit or a vegetable.

The goal of Hopkins Public Schools is to provide nutritious meals to students to promote healthy eating habits, enhance learning and maintain the financial integrity of the National School Breakfast and Lunch program. It is also important to eliminate the overt identification of children/families who are unable to pay meal charges.
